Hey Reader, December is the month of lights for me. They are everywhere, and I canāt say I hate it š Last year, when I was searching for photos to post on my social media and creating, I often saw Christmas lights, candles, sparklers, and such, which got me thinking⦠Why not create a guide to help everyone feel confident when photographing these types of lights? Because I wanted to see more photos like that. I wanted my feed and also my personal photo collection to be filled with warm cozy lights (If you havenāt guessed, I love the holiday season mainly for the cozy lights and good food š¤£) So I wrote a Capturing Magical Lights Guide, which was a success last year. And this year itās back! The thing is, I know light feels technical, and it often is (thatās what I also cover in the guide), but itās also something that adds emotion to your photos. So, whether you get the guide or not⦠my advice to you is to always ask yourself, āHow does the light feel?ā Does it feel calm? Does it feel fun? Does it feel warm? Does it feel energetic? There are a million ways to describe it, but it needs to match what you were going for. With that in mind, Iāll let your holiday creative juices flow. If you decide to go for the guide or not, Reader, I wish you the best weekend, and Iāll talk to you next week with something a bit more personal. |
